Good Morning everyone!!
I am blogging from registration this morning. I actually did some work yesterday in private study, I am very proud of myself. :) No procrastination...Eh Ailsa?
Today is the ragbag day within Carluke High School, and I, due to my abnormally small memory span and my abnormally large amount of things needing done, Have forgotten to bring in al the stuff for it. You see, we're meant to bring in a bag of old clothes - and the more clothes the school donates, the more money we will get for the eco group. Never mind, theres always next year.
And besides, I am busy organising the Fairtrade Parents Night for the third years. This thursday By The Way! Come along and get some fairtrade goodies! :)
Anoooother thing. I am getting ever more excited about panto, even though it is not showing, as I seem to be more concerned with everything else that is going on. But I am looking forward to opening night. :) And I know are some surprises on the way before friday.
Anyway, anyone want to help me with an idea for my 6000 word assignment for GB's?
My previous ideas have been posted in earlier blogs, but I don't know if i could write enough about that particular subject.
Hmm...Its a tricky one!

hmmm
Heyyyyyy!
hey there. Today has been your average tuesday. dull.
was meant to be doing a drama thingy after school, our whole class was revising for the prelim on thursday. And Mr Young, HEAD OF DRAMA, decides to bog off home instead. So we were stuck at school til 4 until we realised he was gone. grrrrr
anyway, back to the point. I wrote another wee poem recently. This one is cheerier than the last one, I think.

eyes
in your eyes
in your eyes
endless circles of rainbow light
a sparkle of hope
deep, dreaming, midnight.
Shining starlight above you
breaks through, lights up
soft, gentle, pure.
a shimmering, bright smile
brings me joy and hope, and love
and even yet, makes the stars envy
at the beauty and the wonder
of you, so perfectly created.
I am complete
I am happy
little thoughts of the stars
drift through, fly through
eyes, wonderous
enchanting my mind
dance dance dance
your eyes dance with laughter, in the starlight
as you dance, in the spotlight
sweet surprises
will leave when you leave
and I imagine you are here
and all I can do is smile
because you are who you are.

verse
ok, here we are. my silly scribblings in private study. enjoy :)
it doesn't have a title. you may not know what it is about, but i know - and thats all that matters. And for the record - I wrote it about something that happened a long time ago. Not anything recent.
everyone out, closed
shut - concluded
freedom reigns, feigned freedom
happiness lives near, but too far to clasp
the mystery of a song
music, notes, tunes
drift -
to live through this,
struggle through,
clamber and dodge
focus on the important.
only to fall at the end
trembling, shivering, waiting
it will cascade
a matter of time, thats all there is
moments of peace are far past, on the distant horizon
easy to recollect, yet hard to catch
impossible to bring back
nothing will wash away
nothing will wash away
the truth, the sorrow, the tears.

procrastination
yes, procrastination. Such a lovely word, yet it always makes me feel so guilty. Particularly as that is what I am doing right now.
Did rather a lot of it today as well. Private study, I did not do my personal study. I just couldn't think 'essay' - I was thinking all sorts of strange things. Things that won't go out of my head. So I wrote them down. As I usually do. But they never make sense, some call it poetry, or stories. I don't know what it is. But I like it, it helps me make sense of things. I will post it soon. Promise :)

Personal or Private Study?
Today, someone asked me. What is the difference between personal study and private study. It did rather confuse me. I do know what they both mean. Personal study is the essay of your choice for higher english, and private study is when you sit in a room with your own work and a bunch of skivers from your year and the year above who try and make you study anything but private and far from a quiet, productive use of time.
I am rather just blabbering now. But i have realised that it is quite easy to confuse the two of them. I often say 'i'm off to personal study' when i really mean private study, usually once a week when the bell rings for third period on a tuesday. If you really think about it, personal and private are really very very similar.
But tomorrow, i will have to make sure i make the difference between the two. Because If i manage to let myself drift into the usual 'private' study routine then I will get no work done, which is considerably bad - as the prelims are in like 5 weeks time. Eeek! So I will be concentrating on my personal study essay tomorrow, during private study!(with any luck)
I do realise there was no point to this blog, and it certainly not the most interesting thing to be reading. I alsi realise that if I had not written this pointless blog I would have probably got at least three more PCQE's done for my essay, and given myself less personal study work to do , in private study tomorrow. But that is life, that is me. Typically me, that whenever there is something important to be doing, I spend the time i set aside to do it - on something completely different.
On a happier note - I had my first proper panto rehearsal yesterday. Though, my voice was doing strange and wonderful things when I tried singing in the kitchen before I left and then my throat began to hurt. So I decided it would be best not to sing, yet. But It seems to be getting better now so yay!
Annnnnd...I did hear Ailsa sing solo for the first time. And I must say, she is rather fantastic! One of the nicest voices I've heard before. :)
anyway, must dash got more 'homework' to do!

my story
Wandering through fields hand in hand, the turquoise sky turns to red and indigo in our eyes. If they could see us now, twisting through the stars with laughter. We sit, cast glimpse over the moon and rhapsodise over how the stars, so far, yet so beautiful, light up the sky for us to see our way home. And how, the longer we stay, more grateful we are for what we have. And the longer we live, no matter where or how, We are growing more and more thankful for those whom we love, us and the stars. And as we drift into sleep, we gaze at the light on the water and sing slow songs to each other, while the breeze flutters through our hair and whispers words of joy to our ears. Hand in hand again, drifting into the dreams of reality, we imagine the life we wish to dream of. Thoughts sail now, through my mind, of the happiness we live and how blessed I am that I have this person, and my love for them is as endless as the stars we gaze at, in hope of a better tomorrow...(c)hannah jane charlotte mcmillan
